Refresher courses for doctors and nurses – 2001
Sri Jayewardenapura General Hospital, Nugegoda, Sri Lanka
Trauma is a common cause of admission to our hospitals. With the aim of highlighting the importance of the initial management of such patients in reducing the morbidity and mortality a course was organized by The College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka in 2001. This was designated as the Trauma Resuscitation and Initial Management (TRIM) Course and was held on the 25th February 2001
Venue – Auditorium – Sri Jayewardenapura General Hospital, Nugegoda
One hundred and fifty doctors participated in the course. The director of the course was Dr Dudley Collure FRCS MD Consultant Surgeon practicing in the US. He was also an instructor in ATLS. Certificates of participation were awarded to all.
